Fascial Release

Fascia envelops and connects all components of the human body such as bones, muscles and organs. It forms a three-dimensional web that gives the body support and shape. As this web has plastic properties, it can be changed in shape to a certain extent. Fascial release methods try to manually influence the web so that alignment and mobility improve. Good physical alignment and flexibility are prerequisites for reducing muscle stiffness and soreness.

The fascial release method I practise is called Tom Myers Structural Bodywork.
